The Correlating Game

The Correlating Game serves as a training and practice tool for mental health sessions involving horses. It employs various fictitious names and scenarios grounded in realistic themes. These cards offer EAGALA treatment team members diverse situations to practice their correlating SPUD's framework and facilitate discussions on session activities.  The deck comes with 32 different client scenarios that can be used in practice in lieu of team member role plays that turn into real-plays.  The scenarios may also help to identify potential correlating session activities based on OBSERVE/RELATE/MOVE/CREATE.

Cards are 3.5” x 5” in size on playing card glossy stock for long-term useability in or out of the pasture.

Instructions: Team members take turns pulling one card at random and reading the scenario aloud to the team.  Team members will actively practice correlating the client scenario provided on the card with the surrounding environment and equines.  Team members will share aloud their correlating SPUD’s with their team or share a correlating activity that could be beneficial for the client scenario provided.  Teams may spend as much or as little time on a particular scenario, however, a minimum of 10-15 minutes of practice per card is recommended.
