Job Title: Licensed Associate Counselor (Part-Time, Contract)

Location: Santan Valley, AZ – Horse Ranch (Equine-Assisted Counseling Program)

Location counseling facility – 288 N Ironwood Apache Junction

Commitment: Minimum of 1-year, part-time contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our team in a unique equine-assisted counseling setting located in Santan Valley, Arizona. This is a part-time contract position offering free clinical supervision and partially paid Eagala (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) training. No prior horse experience is required—we will provide all necessary training.

Counselors must commit to serving a minimum of 15 clients per week at our horse ranch. This position is ideal for a counselor looking to deepen clinical skills, gain specialty training, and grow in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality counseling services to a minimum of 15 clients weekly.

Complete all clinical documentation within 24 hours of sessions.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Participate in required annual training (paid at a different rate).

Attend bi-weekly clinical oversight Saturday 8AM via zoom

Attend and engage in free clinical supervision provided.

Successfully complete Eagala certification training (paid by organization).

Collaborate with ranch staff and other providers to support client care.

Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional guidelines required by licensure and the organization.

Qualifications:

Current Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) credential (state-specific).

Commitment to a minimum of one year in the role.

Willingness to work in an outdoor ranch environment in Santan Valley.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Open to learning equine-assisted therapy practices (no prior horse experience required).
