LOGOS EQUUS - A Journey to Meaning and Hope by Sharon Boyce
An Eagala model Logotherapy Programme Facilitation Handbook. A Journey to Meaning and Hope.
This LOGOS EQUUS handbook details an Eagala method equine assisted logotherapy programme. It was designed by me, with a huge amount of assistance from the co-facilitation team, as part of my research project for the qualification of Associate in logotherapy. The handbook is set up to initially provide a theoretical overview, which is then followed with the outline of the workshop session programme and materials that will be needed. Thereafter the sample session plans are provided, the constructs in the sessions refer to those covered in the methodology overview and those relevant sections can be cut and pasted for specific session reference. The handbook also provides a section on sample documentation which can be personalised for other programmes. Lastly the biography is included as well as a recommended reading list. Logos Equus provokes participants to access their noetic (spiritual) dimension in a journey of self-discovery, conscience led problem solving and hope. Where they are restored to believe they have unquestionable worth; that despite their current life situation there is hope for a better life, a meaningful life aligned to a sense of purpose, which is within their realm of influence. LOGOS EQUUS was initially designed as a programme for children and youth however it has been used with incredible power with adults. I trust you will find this programme meaningful to both participants and facilitators and I urge you to make it your own.
